Tips for Your Health: Weight Management
Studies have shown that the United States has one of the most overweight populations in the world. Although Americans are getting fewer calories from fat, they are consuming more calories overall. Obesity affects people of all ages. More children seem to be overweight, while their activity levels seem to be hitting rock bottom. Being overweight is related to many health risks. Even a 5- to 10-pound weight loss can substantially reduce your risk of disease. Conversely, being underweight can be dangerous too.
