Superintendent Dale's address at this year's Leadership Conference stressed implementation of the student achievement goals adopted by the School Board last year. Look for more information in the back-to-school message, which will be distributed to all schools and centers in late August and will be broadcast on Channels 11 and 85 the week of August 27-31. Peter Noonan Named Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services
Dr. Dale is pleased to announce the selection of Peter Noonan as the assistant superintendent of the Department of Instructional Services. Noonan has served as the assistant principal of Langley High School and as principal of Lanier Middle School and Centreville High School. Most recently, he served as the assistant superintendent of Cluster VII. Noonan replaces Ann Monday, who is now the superintendent of Fairfax City Schools. (view press release)

Register Now for Fall ACE Classes
Registration for fall 2007 (September-December) classes offered by the Office of Adult and Community Education (ACE) is now under way. Course offerings may be viewed at www.fcps.edu/aceclasses, and most, but not all, classes may be registered for online. The course catalog, ACE Classes, is in the mail to residents and will also be available at Fairfax County public libraries and ACE registration centers. The fall issue debuts a new name, a new look, and a new size as the result of a major revamping to enhance the catalog’s usability and appeal. Along with a contemporary look and feel, the fall catalog features many new courses that address career, business, and technical needs.
