FCPS Remembers

Information for FCPS Remembers is provided by the Educational Employees Retirement System of Fairfax County (ERFC) and by the Department of Human Resources for members of the Fairfax County Employees Retirement System (FCERS).

In the event of the death of any active employee who is now contributing to the ERFC and/or the VRS retirement systems, or any retiree who retired from these systems, notify the ERFC retirement office by calling 703-426-3900. The retirement office will provide the names to Supergram with details of the deceased's employment with FCPS. In the event of the death of an active member or retiree of FCERS, notify Benefit Processing at 571-423-3200.

  • Natalie Braden, teacher at Kilmer Center, who retired March 1,1997, and who died February 25.
  • Nancy Bradley, counselor at Oakton High, who retired January 1, 1990, and who died March 5.
  • John Arn, teacher at Herndon High, who retired October 1, 1987, and who died January 10.
  • Mary Ann Boes, instructional assistant at Woodson High, who retired August 1, 2000, and who died January 4.
  • Gonzetta Burns, instructional assistant at Woodson Center, who retired July 1, 2004, and who died September 7, 2008.
  • Cornelia Cahill, principal at Camelot Center, who retired August 1, 1990, and who died January 18.
  • Rhoda Christensen, teacher at Falls Church, who retired July 1, 1999, and who died August 31. 2008.
  • Charles Cross, financial analyst at Sideburn Center, who retired October 1, 2002, and who died December 29, 2008.
  • Shirley Cobis, counselor at Lake Braddock, who retired July 1, 1987, and who died February 23.
  • Claire Donovan, teacher at Lemon Road, who retired July 1, 1985, and who died January 2.
  • Virginia Endicott, teacher at Forestdale, who retired July 1, 1994, and who died February 2.
  • Eldon Engle, teacher at Clearview, who retired July 1, 1995, and who died November 18, 2008.
  • Eileen Neubecker, administrative assistant at Dunn Loring, who retired July 1, 2004, and who died March 4.
  • Carol Torpey, instructional assistant at Clearview, who retired September 1, 2001, and who died March 17.
