FY 2010 Proposed Budget to Be Presented January 8; Redlining Policy Suspended
Superintendent Jack Dale will present the FY 2010 proposed budget tomorrow, January 8, at Gatehouse Administration Center I. Specific budget information will be posted online late Thursday evening. In addition, the Fairfax County School Board has voted to suspend its redlining policy that, in normal budget years, provides a financial ease of transition for employees who are moved involuntarily to shorter contract lengths or positions that pay lower salaries. The spring ACCESS (Academy Course Catalog for Employees in Support Services) course catalog will be available online and registration will open on January 19. This is a change from the previous dates of January 5 and January 12 respectively.
