About Our People
* Beverly Chestnutt, school counselor at Woodson, and Ray Lonnett, educational specialist in the Department of Professional Learning and Training, were recently honored with the Making a Difference award by the Northern Virginia chapter of Phi Delta Kappa on December 10 at the Country Club of Fairfax for making a difference with children. Chestnutt counsels students in the Comprehensive Emotional Disability Service Site program at Woodson, and Lonnett is the co-leader of the Great Beginnings elementary teacher induction program.
* Tom Bello, ESOL teacher at Willston Center, recently presented two workshops—“Teaching the Adult Learner: Resources, Training and Materials," and "Community-Building Activities”—at the United States Department of State's Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, Virginia, on December 4 at the English Language Conference.
