Cable Services
Record and retention rights vary for programs. Specific rights will be designated after the program description in the program highlights. The following designations will be used:
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) educators have unlimited rights (Record Rights: Unlimited) to all programming on Channel 11 except as otherwise indicated. All Channel 11 programs have been approved by FCPS staff curriculum.

Lori Knickerbocker, senior communications specialist (Gatehouse Administration Center) - Oversees the integration of school division plans, policies, and goals into a comprehensive public affairs and instructional cable television system. Lori also works with FCPS and outside organizations to effectively market programming, and liaisons with Cox Communications, Inc., Comcast Cable Communications, Inc., and Verizon. Gretchen Shreve, cable programming technician (Gatehouse Administration Center) - researches, coordinates, writes, and electronically publishes fine Tuning and other programming guides. Pepsi Vongprachanh, media resource specialist (DIT, Sprague Technology Center). Serves as liaison between FCPS curriculum coordinators, commercial video producers and distributors for preview, evaluation, procurement, duplication, and cable rights of all FCPS-approved instructional videocassettes and audiocassettes. She manages the Electronic Media Library that houses over 7,000 approved video titles, and she monitors the approved instructional materials (AIM) database that provides searchable information about each of the media. Tracey Jewell, teleproductions manager (Sprague Technology Center) - Oversees the production of all FCPS television programming including public information, staff development and training, and curriculum-based programs. Tracey supervises a staff of 15 video production professionals (13 are funded by Cox Communications, Inc.) who produce over 350 projects each year. Kevin Lawton , cable resource specialist (DIT, Sprague Technology Center). Disseminates information to FCPS curriculum coordinators and librarians about cable programs on FCPS’ three cable television channels and oversees the Electronic Media Library at Sprague Technology Center. In addition, Kevin serves as a liaison with Cox Communications, Inc., Comcast Cable Communications, Inc., and Cable in the Classroom. Laura Romstedt, manager, Media and Training (DIT, Sprague Technology Center). Disseminates information to FCPS curriculum coordinators and librarians about cable programs on FCPS three cable television channels. Laura oversees the Electronic Media Library at Sprague Technology Center. She also chairs the Cable Advisory Panel (CAP), a committee composed of representatives from throughout FCPS who recommend and evaluate FCPS cable TV programs. In addition, Laura serves as a liaison with Cox Communications, Inc., Comcast Cable Communications, Inc., and Cable in the Classroom. The School Events calendar on the FCPS web site lists happenings in all Fairfax County public schools. Find out about student performances, fun fairs, special celebrations, and more. Go to the school system home page, http://www.fcps.edu, and select "School Events" on the left. An online form to list an event is also linked at the site.
