Katie Fiese is very excited to be a member of the Mason Crest community! Originally from Canton, New York, she graduated from St. Lawrence University with a degree in School Counseling and from Canisus College with a degree in Special Education. She has been teaching in Fairfax County since February 2012. When she is not teaching, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family, friends and rescue dog, Bailey. She is eager to start the school year and share her passion for education with the students and staff!

 

 

 

 

Ann-Bailey Lipsett

Ann-Baily Lipsett

Ann-Bailey Lipsett is joining the Mason Crest team from Annandale Terrace Elementary School. This will be her tenth year teaching in Fairfax County, where she has taught both first grade general education and kindergarten and first grade special education. She graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2003 and earned her Masters in Special Education from the University of Virginia in 2009. When she is not teaching she is playing with her year-old daughter, out hiking with her family, or reading for pleasure. She loves teaching and cannot wait to start the school year!

 

Shannon Milsap

Shannon Milsap

Shannon Millsap is very excited to be a member of the new Mason Crest faculty.  Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Shannon graduation from Texas Tech University (Wreck ‘Em!) with a degree in Psychology and has enjoyed a career in Special Education for the last five years.  Shannon is looking forward to sharing her passion for education with her peers, students, and Mason Crest families. Some of Shannon’s favorite things include CrossFit, traveling, photography, cowboy boots, and country music! Shannon can’t wait to see all the new smiling faces in the Fall of 2012 when Mason Crest officially opens its doors to students. It’s going to be a very special school year!

 

 

 

Laura Switzer

Laura Switzer

Laura Switzer is excited to be a part of the Mason Crest community. Laura attended Fairfax County Public Schools from kindergarten through high school. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech. Laura earned a Masters of Education from Marymount University with a focus in Special Education. She has been teaching with FCPS for ten years. When Laura is not teaching, you will find her reading, hiking, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family and friends. She is also a volunteer with animal rescue and loves to take long walks with her black lab Lex. Laura is eager to share her love for learning with the students and staff at Mason Crest Elementary.

 

 

Jacki White

Jacki White

Jacki White is excited to be a Mason Crest Tiger!  She grew up in the beautiful mountains of Alleghany county , Virginia.  She is a graduate of Marymount College of Virginia and has taught in Fairfax County schools for 23 years. She is the mother of 2 boys.  Her whole family loves going rock hunting and she also likes to read.  She is looking forward to becoming part of the Mason Crest community.

Mary Zimpelman

Mary Zimpelman is happy to join the Mason Crest Team as an Instructional Assistant.  She comes to Mason Crest from Thoreau Middle School where she provided remediation services.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University and a Masters degree in Social Work from Catholic University.   She loves to see students learn and grasp new concepts especially in reading.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cheering on the Nationals and is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.   She loves to read all kinds of books and is told makes the best fudge at Christmastime.

 

 

Tatiana Ramallo

Tatiana Ramallo

Tatiana Ramallo is thrilled to be a part of the Mason Crest Special Education department. Raised in fairfax county, she graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a bachelors degree in psychology. Currently she is finishing her masters in special education at George Mason University. In her spare time she likes to go swimming, dancing, and loves to spend time with her dog. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work with our students and to enrich their lives as much as possible.
