Principal

Brian Butler is extremely pleased and proud to have been appointed principal of Mason Crest. The opportunity to work hand in hand with the families from Annandale Terrace, Beech Tree, Belvedere, and Woodburn Elementary Schools, in order to create a new vibrant school community is both exciting and humbling to me. His goal is to help Mason Crest become the model of excellence in education, where every student experiences the success that they deserve. Our staff energetically embraces the challenges that lie ahead. He looks forward to the opportunity to both lead and serve the school community as the new principal of Mason Crest, an opportunity and responsibility that he takes very seriously, but one that is going to be great fun along the way!

Assistant Principal

Diane Kerr is excited and honored to join the Mason Crest learning community as Assistant Principal.  Diane has been in the field of education for the last 16 years.  She began her career in Connecticut, traveled to and taught in Bahrain and returned to the United States to teach English learners in Fairfax County.  Most recently she has supported schools as a PreK-12 ESOL Coordinator where she led numerous curriculum and instructional projects and worked with teams at schools throughout the school system.  In her spare time she is an adjunct professor at GMU and UVA, she enjoys biking and dancing, and loves to spend time with her husband, daughters, and son in law.  Diane is looking forward to welcoming and getting to know each Mason Crest family and being part of a new, wonderful learning community.
