What
is the support team?
The
Academy Support Team is a special needs resource team assigned
to the Marshall Academy. The Support Team provides assistance
necessary to allow special needs students to successfully
participate in Academy classes. The team provides a continuum
of special education and ESOL services to those students in
need while they are attending classes at the Marshall Academy.
This is done through working closely with Academy teachers,
administrators, high school special education and ESOL departments,
parents, and Career and Transition Services personnel to achieve
their goals.
Benefits
The
Support Team provides technical support to Academy instructors,
and by acting as liaisons to the special education departments
at students' base schools, parents, and to Career and Transition
Services. Accommodations are based on the individual needs
of each student.
