For Your Reference

Most colleges require some form of testing to determine your readiness for college level work. The SAT I or the ACT is generally required. It is your responsibility to find out what tests are required by the colleges to which you plan to apply. This information is available form the individual college websites or guidebooks in the Career Center.

www.collegeboard.org This is the place to register for the SAT I and SAT II tests (Scholastic Aptitude Test). This site should be bookmarked on your computer! You will find review information and test-taking tips along with additional information about colleges and financial aid.

www.act.org This is where you should register for the ACT (American College Testing Assessment) test. You can read about how the test is scored and work on test preparation.

www.toefl.org This is the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test web site. You can register for this test and practice test taking skills This is an English language proficiency test.
