Sixth Grade Supply List

The items listed below your student will need on a weekly basis in his or her classroom. Please note that we have NOT INCLUDED a 3- RING BINDER. Instead we will use the 2- pocket folders for each subject. Most 6th grade students struggle with their organization skills. We have found that not using the binder results in fewer lost papers, lighter backpacks, and happier teachers and parents.

Please look through your local Dollar Store over the summer to find some of the items listed below.

6 One subject notebooks (with 6 more needed in January)
1 Package of 3x5 cards
10 Glue Sticks
1 Pair of Scissors (with blunt tip)
1 Personal pencil sharpener (non- electric, and one that Holds pencil shavings)
1 Ruler (cm and inches)
1 Pack of markers, pack of crayons, and pack of colored pencils
3 Different colored hi-liters
2 Dry erases markers
1 Large pink erasers
2 Pack of 12 pencils
2 Red Pens
1 Pencil Holder (NOT a pencil box)
1 Protractor
8 2 pocket folders
3 Packs of white- lined wide ruled paper
1 Backpack (No binder/book bag combinations please)
1 Baby wipes or any antibacterial hand wipe
3 Box of facial tissue
2 Bottles of waterless hand sanitizer
1 Roll of paper towels
1 Box of extra large, heavy duty Zip-lock bags (gallon size)
Safety Reminder----Please send your child in tennis shoes only. No flip flops or elevated soles.

Tennis shoes with laces or Velcro only -- made for athletics. No elevated soles.
