Through the Connect2Compete Program, families in Fairfax County Public Schools may be able to get low-cost Internet at home. If you have at least one child enrolled in the free school lunch program, you may be eligible for Internet service for only $9.95 a month and a free modem rental from Cox Communications. Training Futures is a workforce development program for unemployed or low-income adults. The program offers concurrent college credit, so participants will obtain not only career training and an internship (which often leads to permanent employment) but also an academic certificate from NOVA. The mission of Kids Serve Too is to honor, support and thank military children by offering programs and resources that demonstrate appreciation for the sacrifices they make and the unique challenges they face.
