Join us for our Annual Art Gala - Thursday, May 30th, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

This annual spring spectacle will showcase works by students from all grade levels using a variety of media. The Gala gallery will be open to visitors from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and attendees can come and go as they please. Special craft and art tables will also be set up where kids can make their own mini-masterpieces to take home.
Volunteers needed!
We need people to help prepare artwork, labels, and information to go home before the Gala. On Wednesday, May 29th after school, we will need helpers to set up for the show and decorate. On the 30th, we will need helpers during the day to hang the art and supervisors for the craft tables in the evening. We’ll also need help taking the show down after school on May 31st. If you would like to help, please contact art teacher Ashley Birkmaier at AMBirkmaier@fcps.edu.

Laurel Hill Health Room needs your gently used clothing!
The School Health Room (Clinic) maintains a small stockpile of clothing to lend to students during the school day when a spill or other accident requires them to change into new clothes. Those clothes are often not returned. To replenish our supply, we are asking parents to donate new and/or gently-used clothing in all sizes. Our main needs are pants and/or shorts for both boys and girls. You can send your contributions to school with your child in a bag marked "Health Room" or "Clinic." If your child has borrowed clothes, please return them after laundering. Thank you!

Donate to our school through the Office Depot/AdoptaSchool.org Partnership
Office Depot has partnered with AdoptaSchool.org to support donations to classrooms. One of our Laurel Hill teachers –second-grade teacher Lauren Walsh – has registered her classroom as a recipient of donations to support math instruction. To make a donation, visit http://www.adoptaclassroom.org/realchange/. All donations of $25 or more will allow you to choose your teacher/classroom. Search under either "Laurel Hill" or "Lauren Walsh" to find our specific program.
