I am pleased to announce that Mr. Hoang Nguyen has accepted the position of assistant principal at Kilmer Center. Mr. Nguyen is coming to Kilmer Center from Marshall Road Elementary where he has served as a crisis resource teacher since 2010.  Prior to serving in this position, Hoang was a special education teacher at Armstrong Elementary as well as Marshall Road Elementary.  In addition, Hoang has taught at St. Coletta in Washington D.C.
Mr. Nguyen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Development from Indiana University of Pennsylvania as well as a Masters from the George Washington University in Teaching Children with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities.  He received his administrative endorsement from George Mason University.
Mr. Nguyen shared “It is an honor to be a part and have the opportunity to serve the Kilmer Center community.  I am fortunate to work alongside committed colleagues and talented leaders.  First and foremost I believe that all children can achieve academic, behavioral and social emotional success.  It is our collective responsibility to set high expectations and work in unity to ensure every child receives a high quality education.  I take it as an amazing privilege to be able to engage in face-to-face interactions with children on a daily basis.”

Hoang is married and has a 5 month old daughter, Madelyn, He was raised outside the Pittsburgh, PA area and is a big Steelers fan.
