Water Bugs and Aquatic Insect Larvae

Find a cool water bug? The pictures below show insects that live in, on top of, or around water. Some are full grown adults and may swim or walk on water. Others are larvae or nymphs, young insects that haven't grown up yet. For instance, the Crane Fly lays eggs in water and young larvae (called water worms) grow up in the water. When the larvae turn into adult Crane Flies, they leave the water and fly away.
