The Liliopsida Class is split into smaller groups, called Orders. Below is a list of some Liliopsida Orders:
Alisnatales: Includes Water-plantains, Flowering Rushes, and Water Poppies.
Arales: Includes Arums, Arrowheads, Burheads, Skunk Cabbage, and Duckweeds.
Cyperales: Includes Sedges, Bulrushes, Reeds, Grasses, Bamboo, Oats, Crabgrass, Rice, Ryegrass, Panicgrass, Wheatgrass, Corn, and Lawngrass.
Hydrocharitales: Includes Tape-grasses and Hydrilla.
Liliales: Includes Lilies, Irises, Onions, Garlic, Tulips, Daylilies, and Greenbriers.
Najadales: Includes Pondweeds.
Nymphaeales: Includes Water Lilies.
All of the Orders above have been split into smaller groups, called Families. Families are then split into Genera. Remember, as each group gets smaller, organisms in that group are more and more alike. Each Genus will contain individual Species.
