Title I District Advisory Council

The District Advisory Council (DAC) is a county organization with representatives from each Title I school. DAC collaborates with Title I staff to plan, implement, and evaluate the Title I program. DAC meetings are held five times a year. All parents are invited to attend DAC meetings.

The Title I District Advisory Council (DAC) shall be formed in compliance with section 1118 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (reauthorized as the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001) to involve parents in the planning and implementation of the Title I program.


School Board Charge for 2011-2012

  • Identify and distribute descriptions of strategies and resources that schools can utilize to overcome barriers to family involvement (e.g., language, culture, transportation, etc.).
