Registration is now closed.  All registrations have been processed and applicants should have been notified of their status by email.

Refunds

  • The refund form must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the refund request deadline.
  • A withdrawal fee is assessed on all refund requests. The fee is waived if the course is full or canceled due to insufficient enrollment.
  • Please allow several weeks for processing.
  • Credit card payments minus the processing fee will be refunded to the credit card account.
  • Payments by money order, personal check, and bank certified check, minus the processing will be refunded as a check refund.

Withdrawals

Credit Recovery:

  • Students who withdraw during the first two days of class may do so without a grade penalty.
  • Students who withdraw between the third and ninth day of class will receive a mark of withdrawn failing (WF) or withdrawn passing (WP).
  • Students who withdraw between the tenth and last day of class will receive a mark of WP or F (fail).
  • Grade point average (GPA) is calculated on the basis of all courses for which credit has been earned or attempted, including repeated courses previously passed.

 

Online Campus:

  • Please note, students who withdraw between July 7 and July 16 may do so without a grade penalty; June 30 and July 9 for HPE and Honors Geometry courses.
  • Students who withdraw between July 17 and July 25 will receive a mark of withdrawn failing (WF) or withdrawn passing (WP); July 10 and July 27 for HPE and Honors Geometry courses.
  • Students who withdraw between July 26 and August 5 will receive a mark of WP or F (fail); July 28 and

Credit Recovery Academy

This is a credit recovery program for students seeking credit in high school level courses. These courses are for middle and high school students who previously completed the course but were not successful in earning credit or wish to repeat the course for a higher grade. Students who withdrew from a course prior to the end of the school year may not take the course in this program.

Self-Paced Online Economics and Personal Finance

This course is self-paced and self-directed.  All material is available on FCPS 24/7.  The student must be self-motivated and able to fulfill the requirements without a teacher to direct and assist with studies.  The student must fulfill the stated schedule.  A teacher will not be available to explain the material.  The student must have the ability to follow the schedule and take the tests when due on his/her own.

This course meets the EPF graduation requirement.

Transferring from Online Campus EPF to Self-Paced EPF:

Students currently registered for the online campus EPF course this summer who wish to transfer to the self-paced option may do so by completing Form F. 

After receiving approval from his or her school counselor, the Adult and Community Education registration office will complete the transfer and refund the difference in cost.
