Credit Recovery Academy

This academy is for students seeking credit in high school level courses. These courses are for middle and high school students who previously completed the course but failed to earn credit. Students may not take a Credit Recovery Academy course if they have earned a passing grade in the course previously or for new credit. Students who withdrew from a course prior to the end of the school year may not take the course in this academy. 

Courses to include:

Session A:
Algebra 1*, Geometry, English 9, English 11, English 12, WH/Geo 2

Session B:
Geometry, Algebra 2, English 10, Biology, Chemistry, WH/Geo 1, VA/US Government

*Algebra 1 runs the length of both sessions.

Self-Directed Economics and Personal Finance

The Self-Directed Economics and Personal Finance course requires students to work without a teacher.  All material is available on FCPS 24/7.  The student must fulfill the schedule which includes covering three to five units per week and completing assessments. It is the student’s responsibility to stay on target. Students must have a working computer, access to the internet along with access to FCPS 24/7, and valid email addresses for himself/herself and parent/guardian. All communication will be via email and FCPS 24/7. This course is available to current FCPS students only.
