The FCPS College Fair and College Night events offer a venue for high school students and parents to meet with colleges and universities to share information and answer questions about their institutions. Approximately 400 colleges attend these events. The College Fair traditionally draws approximately 10,000 students and parents. College Night, held the following evening, attracts between 4,000 and 5,000 attendees. In addition to the open-fair setting, College Night features workshops related to the college admissions process.

Students and Parents:

Students are highly encouraged to register for these events at: Upon registration, each student will receive an Admittance Pass (individual bar code) which will allow the colleges to electronically scan the student’s information (instead of having the student fill out an information card for each college of interest on the night of the event). Students should print the Admittance Pass and bring it with them to both events.

Registration is currently underway for colleges and universities who will be attending the 2015 College Fair and College Night events. The 2015 attendee’s lists will be available beginning in July and will be updated weekly through October.


2015 College Night Workshops:

College workshops will be held during College Night on the following topics:

  • The SAT and ACT: Their Role in the College Application Process
  • Financial Aid*
  • Considerations for Students with Disabilities in the College Search Process and Beyond
  • Writing the College Application Essay
  • NCAA Division I, II, and III: The Student-Athlete’s Experience
  • Family Connection: Student and Parent Access to College Planning Tools
  • The First Step to College Readiness: Career Planning*
  • The United Kingdom: For Students Interested in Opportunities Abroad

    * Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese interpreters will be available.
