Welcome to FCPS Family Connection, the 24/7 online access for high school students (grades 9 - 12) to individual student plans and resources for post-graduation life.
Family Connection is a web-based service designed especially for high school students and their parents. Family Connection is a comprehensive website that helps students as they make decisions about academic plans, colleges, and careers. Family Connection is linked with Counselor's Office, a service used in FCPS school counseling offices to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that is specific to each student's school.
Family Connection provides students the opportunity to explore and record their skills and interests, career and educational plans and allows them to track the activities and goals to create their individual game plan for postsecondary educational and career opportunities. Parents are able to view their students' plans.
High school students access Family Connection by clicking on the Family Connection logo available on their main page of the FCPS 24-7 Learning site.
Parents who have registered for an FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View Account are now able to click on the Family Connection link to view information about their high school students' postsecondary plans, interests and opportunities. For information on setting up a Parent View account, go to: http://www.fcps.edu/is/instructionaltechnology/fcps247.shtml
Family Connection is a tool which allows the school to share information with parents and students about up-coming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other web resources for college and career information. Parents can also use this site to send email to the school counseling staff.
It is important that parents keep their email address current in their FCPS 24-7 Learning account. This is the email address that will be used to communicate through Family Connection.
If you have questions about the FCPS 24-7 Learning environment, go to http://fcps.blackboard.com/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp for help.
