How are students transported to an academy program from their base schools?
There are a limited number of FCPS shuttles available to transport students to and from academy and other specialized courses (requires a minimum of five students per shuttle). Please check with your school counselor for shuttle availability. With permission, a student may choose to provide his/her own transportation if a shuttle is not available or there are special circumstances.

Interested students should see their base school counselor. In addition, an explanation of the application process is available online at http://www.fcps.edu/is/cte/academyapplication.shtml

The academy counselor may also be consulted to assist the student and the family plan an appropriate series of classes. The students four-year plan for high school should be created as early as possible to ensure the best scheduling situation for academy and AP/IB options.
