Thomas Jefferson Admissions Test Prep

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) students demonstrate a high ability, aptitude and interest in math, science, and technology. Students enrolled in this seminar will focus on admissions test-related mathematical and verbal reasoning, essay writing, and study strategies. Students practice skills through group work, interactive instruction, and participation in web casts. Other topics include enhancing individual test performance and building confidence. Textbooks and workbooks are provided.

For students aspiring to attend TJHSST who will be in grade 8 during the 2012-2013 school year.

Taught by endorsed teachers familiar with the competitive admissions process.

Participants should have strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills appropriate to viable candidacy for admission.

• Participation in this course does not constitute application, admission, or acceptance to TJHSST.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
• Reduced tuition is not available.
• Refund requests must be received two business days (48 hours) prior to the class start date; refund requests are assessed a $15 processing fee.
