Industry Certifications

Preparing for a certification examination is a combination or study and practice.  ACE classes provide lecture and hands-on exercises to the student; however, the student MUST take the time and read the book thoroughly and complete the practice tests (if provided).

Most books provide questions at the end of each chapter, which help the student gauge their level of comprehension. It may take several practice tests to reach a comfortable skill level. Only when the student is certain they are ready should they sign up for the examination. Visit the certifying agency’s website for additional information. View certification prep courses.

Information Assurance Training

Information Assurance (IA): measures that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. These measures include providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities.

ACE strives to keep up with the latest needs of our students. With the advent of DoD Directive 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, ACE has reviewed our information technology offerings. We currently offer courses to prepare students to sit for CompTIA’s A+, Network+, and Security+ examinations.

ACE now offers coursework to prepare students to sit for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) examination. The associate-level certification is for anyone passing the examination but lacking the work experience required for the professional level certification.
