Emergency Announcements

ACE classes will not meet when FCPS schools are closed due to inclement weather, holidays, or emergencies.

 

When Fairfax County Public Schools have a schedule change (closing or delay) due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the information is communicated as soon as the decision is made in these ways: 

• Posted on TV Channel 21 (Cox Communications, Reston Comcast, and Verizon cable customers only).
  
• Posted to FCPS emergency announcements
  
• Sent via e-mail to subscribers through the FCPS Keep In Touch e-mail notification system
  
• Called in to area radio and televisions stations
  
• Posted to Facebook and Twitter.

 

You may also call 703-658-1203, the 24-hour ACE Closings and Cancellations Telephone line.

When evening classes are canceled due to bad weather, registration offices will close at 4:30 p.m.

 

If classes are canceled due to weather:

• Your class will automatically be rescheduled one week later at the same time and place unless someone from ACE notifies you otherwise
• If you are attending a class with several sessions, attend your next scheduled class meeting.
