New Classes for Spring/SummerWhether looking for a short, project-oriented workshop or seeking a comprehensive introduction to a complex art form and rewarding life skill, you will find a wide choice of opportunities to pique your interest. View all fine crafts classes.
Each term ACE offers a comprehensive schedule of studio classes for beginning, continuing, and advanced students. We suggest that students new to art register for introductory classes, such as AE02090-Beginning Drawing. It is best to posess competent drawing skills before registering for a painting class.
Many second-level drawing classes offer opportunities to gain skills with more challenging techniques and drawing mediums. Continuing and advanced painting and drawing students will find stimulating opportunities to experience new materials and methods while developing and polishing personal styles within a supportive peer environment led by instructors who are professional artists. View all studio art classes.
Continuing and advanced studio art students bring their own materials to class. Instructors discuss materials and supplies for new students during the first class. Some art materials will be provided to get you started; a supply list for your own kit of materials will be suggested. If stated in the class description, needed materials may be purchased in the first class.
Fine craft classes generally provide a kit of materials to be purchased in class or provide the materials as part of the class cost. Consult the class description for details.

ACE Art classes are open to all adults. Young students ages 16-18 are also eligible, contact program specialist Sandy Booth at 703-658-1222 or sandra.booth@fcps.edu for more information.
