ACE: Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages

Placement Testing:

  • Placement Testing is required of all new students.
  • The placement tests should be taken at the same location where you would like to take class.
  • No children allowed! Please do not bring children to testing, registration, or class.
  • Arrive early to get your seat (seating is limited to 75)
  • Testing lasts 2-3 hours
  • After finishing the reading and writing tests, you will be given an appointment to come back for placement and registration.

Individuals with F1 or F2 visas (student visa holders and their spouses) are not eligible for literacy through high advanced classes.

Fees:

The following fees are due at registration:

  • $20 registration fee
  • Book (varies)
  • Tuition (varies)
  • No senior tuition discounts/waivers
  • FCPS employees are eligible for a discount. Please bring your FCPS ID

Pay with money order, check, or credit card. No cash will be accepted.

Volunteers:

  • Volunteers are needed to assist ESOL teachers and students at major sites.
  • Call Carolyn Kulisheck at 703-658-2755 to learn about volunteer opportunities.
