New Today: (2/9/12) FCPS is currently accepting applications for its elementary magnet school program for Bailey’s Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences for students who, during the 2012-13 school year, will enter grades K-4. An information night will be held for families interested in the elementary magnet school program at Bailey’s on Thursday, February 9, at 7 p.m. at the school; the snow date is February 16. Details.
At the January 12 Fairfax County School Board meeting, Fairfax County Public Schools Superintendent Jack D. Dale released the school system’s FY 2013 Proposed Budget of $2.4 billion, an increase of 9 percent, or $202.3 million, from the FY 2012 Approved Budget. Details.
