Summer Learning Programs, Extended School Year (ESY), & Head Start/Early Head Start

Applicants interested in applying to the Summer Learning Program and Extended School Year (ESY) will apply via CareerQuest. Positions are open to FCPS and non-FCPS employees.

Current employees:

  • A CareerQuest account and a current resume will be required in order to apply to all positions. A request for a recommendation will be sent to principals or program managers. The recommendation must be received in order for an application to be eligible for consideration.

Non-FCPS, hourly (including substitutes), former, or retired employees:

  • A CareerQuest account and current resume will be required in order to apply to all positions. In addition, two letters of reference, hand signed and dated within the last year, are required for an application to be to be eligible for consideration. These references must be uploaded to your CareerQuest account.

Applications are open until filled. Hiring for summer school typically begins in mid-March and will continue until all positions are filled, which can be until early July. If a program manager recommends an applicant for hire, HR will send that applicant an offer letter via email.
