Comments
Based on the approved proffer guidelines the 17 students generated by this rezoning would justify a $127,500 proffer for schools. (17 students x $ 7,500 per student)
The opening of the new West Fairfax Elementary School, scheduled to open in the 2006-2007 school year, will reduce overcrowding at Greenbriar Elementary School. Also, The City of Fairfax is planning to increase the capacity at Lanier Middle School to 1100 students and Fairfax High School to 2200 students. These capacity increases will relieve the projected overcrowding at the middle and the high school.
The
foregoing information does not take into account the potential impacts of other
proposals pending that could affect the same schools.
