Note:

Five-year projections are those currently available and will be updated yearly. School attendance areas subject to yearly review.

Comments

Enrollments in the schools listed (Poplar Tree Elementary, Rocky Run Middle, and Chantilly High) are currently projected to be near or above capacity; therefore, estimated enrollment increases potentially generated by the proposed action cannot be accommodated within existing capacities.

A new middle school in Centreville is planned for opening in September 2002. This facility may relieve overcrowding at Rocky Run Middle School. Attendance area adjustments associated with the opening of the Westfield High School will reduce overcrowding at Chantilly High School, however, Chantilly High School will remain over capacity.

The foregoing information does not take into account the potential impacts of other proposals pending that could affect the same schools.
