Overview
The Grounds Operations Section is responsible for the general landscape and hardscape maintenance at all school system facilities. In addition, this section provides service and repair for all school and department based grounds care equipment.
The Grounds Operations Section consists of 51 full-time positions. Their duties are varied and far reaching. They perform asphalt, concrete, and masonry repairs, install fencing and exterior signage, provide special event support, grading and drainage improvements, athletic field maintenance, stormwater management, landscape, mowing, and arboricultural services, manage snow removal operations, perform general service and repair for grounds care and heavy equipment, and direct related service contracts.
The Grounds Operations Section is comprised of three branches:
