Overview

The Central Operations Section is responsible for maintaining 233 schools, centers, and administrative office buildings within Fairfax County Public Schools. The Central Operations Section is supported by 44 full-time positions to include a mechanical branch that repairs a variety of equipment such as fire sprinkler systems. Our machine shop makes and repairs all types of equipment, to include parts and materials. The structural branch repairs a variety of equipment such as cabinetry, locks, sheet metal, welding, and roofing.
