About Us
The Fairfax County School Board encourages the use of school buildings and grounds by the community for educational, recreational, civic, and cultural activities to the extent possible under the law. The Board believes that school facilities are an important resource in developing and sustaining lifelong learning, in promoting intergovernmental cooperation, and in encouraging citizen participation in community activities.
When space is available at times that do not interfere with Fairfax County Public Schools instructional programs, student activities, activities of school-related groups, and Fairfax County Department of Recreation and Community Services, community members may reserve school facilities on a scheduled basis. Please refer to Leasing and Community Use of Facilities, Regulation 8420 of the Fairfax County Public School Policies and Regulations. (pdf format)
FCPS gymnasiums and fields are scheduled for community athletic teams by the Fairfax County Community and Recreation Services Division. Please refer to their web site for further information http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/rec/.
"Community Use of School Facilities" ADM-20 application forms (pdf format) are available in the administrative offices of all schools. Completed forms can be sent via email as an attachment to the Community Use Coordinator, Amy.Craig@fcps.edu. If you know in advance the school facility that you would like to reserve, please print the application (ADM-20) and submit it to your school facility of choice.
