Zucchini

  • Zucchini in French is a summer squash.

  • It can be either yellow or green and likes a cucumber.

  • Zucchini can be cooked or eaten raw with dip.

  • In Mexico the flower is preferred over the fruit and is often cooked in soups or used for quesadillas.

  • Zucchini is native to the Americans and was introduced in Europe during the time of colonization.

  • An improved version of zucchini was reintroduced into the USA by Italian immigrants in the 1920's.
