Menus are Planned
Fairfax County school meals are planned by registered dietitians
to reflect the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, MyPyramid - Steps to a Healthier You, and student preferences
as determined at student taste parties. Food specifications, food
preparation and menus are planned to provide no more than 30 percent
calories from fat and 10 percent calories from saturated fat averaged
over the week.
