Lunch

To assist primary grade students in selecting their lunch, A 5 Star Lunch format is used in elementary schools. The menu components are identified on the serving line with the corresponding colored star.

Parents can assist their children in making healthy lunch choices if they review the published menu the night before.

The "Offer versus Serve" federal regulation requires students be offered all lunch components but they may select only three (3) or more lunch components for the meals to qualify for federal and state reimbursements. Daily elementary menu offerings include chef salads, Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (Smuckers Uncrustable), our popular Yogurt Lunch, and several regular lunch entrees. Through the use of variety, the students are able to select menu items they will eat. Students in the middle and high schools have additional menu offerings.
