About Us
The Mission of the Department of Financial Services is to provide accurate, timely, relevant financial information and guidance to the School Board and stakeholders; and to promote school community wellness and students’ readiness to learn.
Areas of Responsibility
Budget
The Office of Budget Services prepares, monitors, reviews, and makes necessary adjustments to the FCPS annual budget.
Comptroller
The Office of the Comptroller maintains financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Food and Nutrition Services
Food and Nutrition Services employees serve low cost, nutritious school meals to more than 140,000 customers every day in 159 schools and centers.
Payroll Management
The Office of Payroll Management's mission is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages to Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).
Procurement
The Office of Procurement Services (OPS) is the central procurement office for FCPS.
Risk Management
The Risk Management team is committed to developing programs that reduce the potential risk exposure of FCPS.
