Cokie Roberts

Cokie Roberts is a political commentator for ABC News. In addition to her appearances on the airwaves, Cokie Roberts has written several best sellers including Founding Mothers, published in 2004 and Ladies Of Liberty in 2008.

 

During the program, Roberts discusses what inspired her to write these historical books about the women who influenced the founding fathers—family members, writers, educators, and settlers. She shares with the studio audience the resources she used to research her books and her impressions of the women she wrote about. Roberts answers questions from the studio audience and questions posed by students via telephone.
