Alice McGill is a professional storyteller and writer and has created numerous stage performances, most notably her production Sojourner Truth Speaks. Her numerous books and recordings, including Molly Bannaky, Miles' Song, and In the Hollow of Your Hand: Slave Lullabies, "preserve the spirit of American history."
During the program, McGill talks about her books and how she uses her voice in storytelling, writing, and singing. Video highlights include a trip to The National Colonial Farm to see re-enactors portray Molly Bannaky and her grandson, the scientist, Benjamin Banneker.
