By putting on her magic glasses, Kalli Dakos says she sees poetry all around her, especially in elementary schools. Incorporating play into every learning opportunity, she teaches students how repetition, rhyme, word selection and placement can enhance their poetry too.
Introducing the viewers to the delightful sounds of Shakespearian style verse, she discusses her book, Our Principal Promised to Kiss a Pig. Students' questions, via e-mail and telephone, round out the show.
