Anthony D. Fredericks’ love of nature and writing is a winning combination. This nonfiction children’s author received the 2004 Teacher's Choice Award from the International Reading Association. Fredericks believes that “there are two important features for any science book—the ‘Wow! factor’ and the use of story.”
During the program, Fredericks explains the importance of research, note taking, pre-writing, writing and revising. Highlights include a visit to the author's home, students conducting inquiry-based science, and writing tips for students—and teachers.
