This series helps families understand the importance of language in developing literacy skills. Children use oral language skills when learning to read and then use reading skills to advance language. Families learn that reading and writing are not independent of speaking and listening. The series features interviews and insight from parent educators and early childhood specialists and goes on location to demonstrate activities that promote language development.
