Over 1,000
businesses in Northern Virginia support Career and
Transition Services in providing a broad array of
experiences for students with disabilities. Students
learn job skills and work behaviors that foster
employment success through such activities as:

- Internships
- Job Shadowing
- Tours of Business Sites
- Employer Guest Speakers
- Informational Interviews about Career Opportunities
Career and Transition Services continually accesses the advice and support of
the business community to create opportunities that
are mutually beneficial to students and the business
community by:
- Assessing labor
market needs in order to identify skill requirements
for current and future employees
- Expanding training
and employment opportunities for students
- Designing public
relations and educational activities to increase
business involvement
