Intel International Science and Engineering Fair

Organizations Encouraged to Participate in the Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

Organizations can provide community support by giving awards to students at the Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Judging will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Robinson Secondary School. Awards are announced at the Awards Ceremony held the following day.

Nearly 600 students and 400 volunteers participate during this three-day event. There are some 40-60 organizations that sponsor awards each year.

There is no standard organization award or specific judging criteria required. The choice of award is an individual preference of the organization and the judges. Organizations may choose to offer awards to winners of a particular science category; to winners of team projects; or to particular winners of any project category, individual or team. Past awards have ranged from scholarships, gift certificates, and U.S. Treasury bonds to professional publication subscriptions and invitations to luncheons or dinner receptions.

Please follow the link to register your organization. As the organization's contact, you would need to provide the award details and the number of judges coming to the fair. Only one designated representative should register your organization's team of judges. Do not register here if you are judging as a category judge. See category judges for more information. If you have questions, please e-mail Tim Harazin or contact him by phone at (703) 916-6934.
