 Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education
or a related field including or supplemented by coursework
in computer applications. Valid qualifying educational
license issued by or recognized by the Commonwealth
of Virginia, plus three years of progressively more
responsible experience maintaining and integrating
computer applications with instruction. Can demonstrate
proficiency in computer operation, desktop technologies
and applicable educational and business software; proficiency
with instructional and school management technology; ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to teach adult learners and
work with students; and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships. |

Description:
Under the general supervision of the principal, plans and implements instructional technology and technology training within the school setting; provides curriculum integration support and conducts training sessions for school instructional, administrative, and support staff to assist them in optimum utilization of technology within their assigned duties; performs level 1 (entry level) troubleshooting and maintenance of technology equipment and software; maintains hardware inventories; collaborates with teaching staff to provide appropriate learning experiences for students that increase their technology knowledge and skills; serves as liaison between school staff and divisionwide technology resources to provide a single point of communication and coordination for school-based technology training, maintenance, installations, and upgrades; conducts training and supports technology installation in the summer that fulfills divisionwide needs; and performs related duties as required and assigned. |
