50s Day:
See a collage of activities from the Kindergartners 50s Day.
Jeopardy: Ms. Canaga's class enjoyed playing Jeopardy with special guest host, Nick, who is a three-time Jeopardy champ! Let It Snow... The pictures in this slide show were taken during the first snow of the year by 3 student photographers, Grant, Robbie, Kabir and Mrs. Meleski. (Choose "Open" to play.)
Snowstorm: Sixth Graders created snowflakes using Geometers Sketchpad, then animated them in Power Point ...wishful thinking! Ethics Day: Colvin Run's sixth graders participated in Ethics Day, sponsored by the Mclean Safe Community Coalition. Chinese New Year: Mrs. Witt and Mrs. Standifor'ds 3rd graders celebrated Chinese New Year with the help of other Colvin Run students. Colonial Day: Fourth graders experienced many of the activities of daily life in Colonial Virginia.
Jump Rope for Heart: Approximately 90 CRES students participated in Jump Rope for Heart. J. Patrick Lewis visits Colvin Run. He shared his poetry and humor with students to help celebrate April as Poetry Month.
Clean up @ Wolf Trap: 6th graders collected 100 loads of leaves, 1,446 pounds of trash, cleared 182 ft. of trail, and removed 26,440 foreign plants. Great work!

Bikes for the World: Fifth graders participated in a PTO sponsored Character Education project, collecting 102 bikes to be shipped to developing countries. CRES Press is the school's literary magazine. Sixth grade editors and Mrs. Ross choose pieces of writing and art, then create layouts for the magazine.
May Sleepover

Second Annual Fun Run:
The 2nd annual Colvin Run Fun Run was hhel with over 200 participants.  A total of 45O “miles of compassion”’ was logged by participants who had donated to 63 charities of their choosing.
