Scrapbook 2006-2007

AutumnFest

Thanksgiving Feast:
Colvin Run celebrated Thanksgiving with students and families.

InnerQuest:
Colvin Run sixth graders went to Madeira School to complete the day-long InnerQuest course.

Fiesta:
Colvin Run 2nd graders culminated their study of Mexico with a Mexican Fiesta.

Chinese New Year: Mrs.Witt's & Mrs.Standiford's 3rd graders celebrated Chinese New Year, with the help of Kindergarteners and 1st graders.
A Biography Study - Gathering of the Gifted: Join Mrs. Standiford's and Witt's classes as they demonstrate the gifts of famous figures from world history.
Colonial Day, 4th grade: Colvin Run fourth graders participated in Colonial dances and crafts, made Colonial foods, played Colonial games. Sgt. Kresslein visitis the third graders. Last fall the 3rd grade, with the help of the SCA, collected goods to send to his Marine unit in Iraq as part of their service learning. Sgt. Kresslein wanted to personally thank the third grade students.
Wolf Trap : 6th graders worked at Wolf Trap Park Kindergarten Book Drive:
Kindergarteners collected over 2,000 books that will be distributed to 2 schools and Inova Fairfax Children's Hospital.
