Cluster Mission
The cluster office provides instructional and operational leadership to schools and promotes open communication among educators, parents, support staff, and School Board members. The charge of the cluster office is to ensure educational excellence, equality, and high expectations for student achievement in a safe learning environment.
The Assistant Superintendent provides leadership, direction, and accountability for principals by monitoring school effectiveness through testing data, staff and parent surveys, and feedback from the school community. The Assistant Superintendent evaluates principals, conducts searches for new principals, serves as a school-community liaison, and advocates for the delivery of systemwide services to schools.
Cluster Office Goals
- Review the academic performance of student groups and work to strengthen the instructional program in all schools.
- Improve the achievement of diverse learners and close disparities in achievement among students.
- Evaluate principals and recommend new principals for appointment.
- Develop and promote positive, capable, and diverse school leaders.
- Achieve Divisionwide Strategic Targets that measure student success.
- Broker the provision of services to schools to keep them safe, clean, and operating in the best interests of students and educators.
- Increase accessibility to quality educational technology resources for students and staff.
- Promote increased partnership and collaboration among schools, parents, and School Board members in the areas of student achievement, quality of learning environment, and the resolution of difficult issues.
