Record Rights
Record and retention rights vary for programs. Specific rights will be designated after the program description in the program highlights. The following designations will be used:
- Record Rights: Date – Legal to record and retain until the stated date. For example, Record Rights: June 2004 indicates the tape must be erased by the last day of June 2004.
- Record Rights: Unlimited – Legal to record and retain indefinitely (unlimited rights).
- Record Rights: Tape must be used within ten (10) days – Legal to record and retain in accordance with federal copyright guidelines. That is, tape must be used within ten (10) days and erased no later than 45 days after the recording was made.
- Record Rights: No recording and retention rights – May not be copied or retained.
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) educators have unlimited rights (Record Rights: Unlimited) to all programming on Channel 11 except as otherwise indicated. All Channel 11 programs have been approved by FCPS staff curriculum.
