Free Workshop for Kinship Care Families to Be Held October 18, Registration Deadline Is October 11
A free training for adults caring for children of relatives is being sponsored by the Fairfax County Kinship Care Committee and the Department of Family Services. It will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alexandria on Thursday, October 18, from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event, entitled The Kinship Family: Meeting Needs and Solving Problems, focuses on emotional, legal, financial, and educational issues facing kinship families. A light breakfast and lunch is included. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, October 11.
